The Pizza Sets The Tone

Day two and we were all up bright and early, or at least before midday. In search of a good hangover food, I decided that the 'never properly cooked' pizza from the night before was the ideal breakfast. Being the good mother hen that she is, Paula put it in the oven for me. Half an hour passed and we had both forgotten about the pizza. It wasn't until we opened the oven did we realise that not only was it burnt, it was the blackest thing I had ever seen. The topping still tasted nice though.

So after being fed, it was time to explore Butlins. We split up into groups, went shopping and found the giant beach. It had giant sandcastles, giant sun beds, and basically everything you'd expect to see on a beach, only giant.

Once all the exploring was done, it was time to head back to the apartment and get 70'ed up. Tonight was the night of the brightly coloured fancy dress. Whilst getting ready, we dug out the 'nose cups', which can make any night just that little bit better.

Of course, as with all fancy dress night, a photo shoot was needed. After posing and dancing, it was time to head out and see all the other fancy dress outfits, and they certainly didn't disappoint. Aside from the obvious 70s gear, there were Oompa Loompas, Batman and Robin, The Smurfs, Vikings and of course, a tampon. What else could you possibly need on a night out?
